Hey there Beautiful,
Let me start by saying “Mommy, YOU ROCK!”
I know that’s not something you hear very often, but please allow me to applaud you for a job well done …
You are an amazing mother, a gifted nurturer, full of indescribable love, endowed with an extra dose of strength and grace. Not many could stand under such pressure, yet you make it all look so easy.
I understand that parenting itself is quite the challenge, however compounded with parenting a child with special needs takes that challenge to a whole new level…yet you persevere!
My name is Adrien and I am a wife and mother to three beautiful children with my youngest and only son having special needs.
My little Superhero was diagnosed at two years of age with a genetic condition which is a duplication on chromosome 15 (dup15) with overlapping autism spectrum disorder.
You yourself are probably nodding, maybe shedding a few tears thinking about your diagnosis day.
As traumatic as that day was, here you are right now, still standing as an overcomer!
Since my son was born, my priorities have changed. Right now my focus is to transition from a career where I leave my son daily to work outside the home to becoming a work at home mom (WAHM).
According to Time Magazine, a Gallop poll shows 56% of mothers would prefer to be stay at home moms.
Now I am not sure about your household, but unfortunately I do not have the option to not work at all. Paying for uncovered therapy expenses alone assures that I will be a contributing member of the workforce for quite some time; however becoming a WAHM just makes sense.
Working from home will allow time to take part in my sons daily therapy, attend specialist visits and those dreaded IEP Meetings, have lunch at school with the bubs, and so many other things I just don’t always have the opportunity to be apart of with my current schedule.
As a self-professed serial entrepreneur, I have started, managed, and sold 13 businesses in the last 10 years, so I know a thing or two about starting a business. I would like to share some of my entrepreneurial juice with you in hopes of helping you find more sync in your family life.
After all, I have the biggest WHY in the world.
